MP Jean Hosts Christmas Open House
December 21, 2007

FORT MCMURRAY – It was a full house Wednesday afternoon at the Fort McMurray office of MP, Brian Jean as the Member of Parliament hosted a Christmas Open House reception for his constituents. Mr. Jean, who has returned home from Ottawa following the rise of the House of Commons for winter break, took the earliest opportunity to touch base with constituents and spread a little holiday cheer.

“I appreciate when constituents take the time to come out, ask questions, and share their views. That’s what makes our system work. It’s also nice to see the faces that are attached to those questions and views,” says Mr. Jean.

“I am very proud to represent this region and am extremely happy that others are taking pride in the region and getting involved in their communities as well. With all the resources, industries, and skills represented here, we are of critical importance to Alberta and to Canada and therefore, the views and needs of people living here need to be heard. This partnership between the governments and constituents is what really makes a difference and makes this a great place to live.”

As MP Jean talked with constituents and shared concerns and ideas, he also expressed his best wishes for a safe, happy Christmas and encouraged residents to slow down and drive safely this holiday season and throughout the winter.
