Economic Regrowth for Northern Alberta

The past months have certainly brought some difficult times to Canadians living across our great country, and these times have indeed brought new challenges to those of us who represent our constituents in Ottawa.

With the economic slowdown of the past months having directly affected many people I know throughout Northern Alberta, it has been truly exciting to be able to assist in bringing home about 30 M in stimulus funding to our riding. With investments in important infrastructure projects, green energy upgrades, our key educational institutions, and cultural events and programming, it is not hard to feel that the coming season in Alberta will be one that will be defined by growth, renewal, enhancement and expansion, the likes of which we have not seen for some time.

Although the economy is slowly showing signs of positive movements, I have no doubt that this season we in the Government of Canada will begin another demanding and engaging season of work in Ottawa. This year may see us facing the threat of yet another federal election, yet as your government we will continue to work hard to fulfill our commitment to Canadians to rebuild our national economic stability, and restore our strength and reputation at home, and abroad.

As always, I am honoured to have the opportunity to represent my constituents on matters that are most important to them, whether they be: continuing to strengthen our natural resource-based industries, working alongside our invaluable agricultural sector, seeking out opportunities to create jobs where they are most needed, and as always, remaining committed to protecting what is most important to us - Our families and communities.

As always, I thank you for your support, and encourage you to be in touch with me through any of my offices to let me know more about what the government of Canada can do for you, and your community.
